Have you ever felt like everything in your life is just going crazy? Where it seems so rocky that you feel like you can’t do anything about it? As much as it seems that our life is going crazy, there is One who can bring peace through the storm.

In times like that, the one place that I always go running to is the only place where everything feels right: I run into Jesus’ arms. There is no place where I would rather be than in his arms. In his arms we can find joy, gladness, purpose and peace — oh, that peace that we find when we are with Jesus! It seems to engulf us as soon as we surrender ourselves to go to that place. Everything that we need can be found in Him. Sometimes it seems like everything is rocking around us, but that is when we have to look to Him.

If we are not careful we too often let the weight of the world crash on our shoulders. We let things like financial difficulties, political madness, family members, and sickness worry us . . . whatever we may be going through at the time. We tend to not run into the arms that can take care of it. Instead we start to struggle with a 5000 pound weight that will break us instead of giving it to the Big Bodybuilder who can pick it up like a piece of grass.

I have been learning to run to His arms and let him take care of everything that is going on in my life instead of struggling with what I’m dealing with alone. When you give everything to God, the burden is gone. Every time it happens, I wonder “why I didn’t do that in the first place? Why did I even try to deal with it on my own?” Jesus will take care of problems as long as we are willing to give them to Him. Run into his arms and stop carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Let that warm embrace of love surround you. He wants to give us that security and love so much. We just have to learn to surrender it to Him.
