Make it Easy to Think Freely

The New Free Thinkers has been around for a few months now, and we’re excited to see the discussions that have been happening in the comments. Keep commenting, by the way – we really enjoy hearing from you and want to keep the conversation going all week!

This rare midweek post is here to let you know about a common feature of weblogs that can make keeping up with things a little easier: RSS. The following description of the technology, from WhatIsRSS.com, is apt:

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.

Using an RSS aggregator such as Google Reader, My Yahoo!, or Bloglines (here’s a list of RSS aggregators), you can get New Free Thinkers articles delivered weekly without having to write a note to remind yourself to visit Monday morning at 8:00 am . . . not that you had to write a note. Right?

Another new technology we’ve recently added is Twitter. The site defies description, so go ahead and read all about it, then come back here. I’ll wait. If you have a Twitter account, you can follow The New Free Thinkers on Twitter and get updates with every article.

If you haven’t subscribed yet or you’re new to The New Free Thinkers, we encourage you to subscribe (or follow!), enjoy the articles, and join the conversation. Look forward to many new, free thoughts in 2009!
